After pains!

I posted about my induction earlier but forgot to ask any 3rd x mom's experience severe after pains? When i'm nursing they literally feel just like labor minus the pressure on the lady parts!

A spray bottle worked for me down there.

This is my second and the first time I am breastfeeding. I had pretty bad cramps while I nursed for about 5 days. They finally went away by the weekend. My doctor and lactation consultant told me this would happen and to take ibuprofen as needed. Good luck!

Oh, holy COW!!! They definitely got worse with each kid and with my 3rd they were almost worse than my labor. It was excruciating. And it would actually happen while I wasn't even nursing (as well as when I would be nursing) - it was so sucky. I would wake up at night just writhing in pain, crying and it would last 5,10,15 minutes at a time. Horrible. I don't think it went past a week or week and a half. Not looking forward to it this time, that's for sure.

Take Tylenol and or advil. I am a 4x mama and this was the worst I even had. It does get better

I'm a ftm and mine were bad enough so I can't imagine. I would just think, my uterus is shrinking and I'm getting closer to my pre pregnancy size and it would help me get through the pain.

STM here and it was worse than the first time.  I remember it only lasting as far as my hospital stay last time.  This time it lasted about a week.  I cannot imagine 3rd and 4th babies!!  But I have heard it gets worse with each child.

I am dreading that this time...I had a horrible time with that last time and the nurses warned me it would probably be worse with future pregnancies. My after-contractions were worse than labor - I remember gripping the bed in the hospital. Yikes.

FTM and mine lasted about a week. They just felt like period cramps but you'd think after going through labor, we could catch a break and not have to deal with anymore cramps!!

Ugh!  I JUST read for the first time yesterday that this gets WORSE with every baby.  I had never heard that before.  I really didn't have any worth noting the first time, though, so hopefully they are not too bad this time.
