DS has a cow's milk allergy. We discovered this when we fed him yogurt for the first time and he broke out in hives within five minutes, vomitted, got a puffy face, runny nose, and runny eyes.
Today, I gave him a puree of banana, blueberries, and beets. Beets are the only thing that he's never had before. We then went outside to play in the sprinkler. He never laid on the ground, just walked around.
An hour later, I noticed a rash on his back and somtach. It looked like really small hives. I bathed him in case it was posion ivy, but even before I got him in the bath, it was starting to go away. He never had any other symptoms or even acted like he knew it was there. My gut tells me it's more than likely that it's a very mild allergy to beets. I'm just wondering what y'all think? I'm going to bring it up at his appointment next week.
