Bar keeper's Friend is the Stuff!

Wow - thank you to the poster(s) (Stacy maybe?) who rec'd Bar Keeper's Friend so very long ago. I have been meaning to pick it up for ages and finally did. My porcelain kitchen sink was embarrassingly stained yellow - like I had it covered with dish mats! LOL! That stuff cleaned it up so nice and is sooo cheap! Can't wait to try it in the bathroom now.

On a side note - anyone have an awesome remedy/product for carpet stains? Trying to get the house deep cleaned before Fall.

What kind of carpet stains? If they are pet stains, Nature's miracle works well. My mom swears by oxy clean for food/wine spills.

Toddler and DH food stains! (Okay, and maybe I've done some damage, too.) And I think some are mud/dirt near the entryway.

I don't like washing stuff that I cook or eat on/with using Barkeeper's Friend. No matter how much I clean it off I feel like it leaves a residue..........and I can taste it.......

But for an all purpose cleaner (sinks/bathrooms/floors, etc.) it's great.

I have no recommendations for carpet stains because we have no carpets.

I use it for my sink as well and love it!! I have no carpet so I cant help, but im curious too, because my new house will have carpet in the playroom and im sure there will be stains!

Good thing I looked it up because I almost said it was called Hot Shot. Oops. Ha. I've always gotten the kind in the can but that stuff is amazing. Love it.

I love BK friend!  I also use it on my porcelain sink about once or twice a week and it looks sparkling white!  And I use it on my bathtub as well.  I also agree with Spot Shot - I used it once to clean up yellowish dog vomit on an off-white carpet and it was a miracle!

I am going to 3rd Spot Shot!  We have lived in our house just under 2 years and I have already gone through a bottle worth on my dog (he throws up often).  It always cleans up the spots - love it!  I am not sure how it works on older stains, but as long as I catch it fairly soon after the fact, I have had no issues.
