Had my 39 week appointment today, I told my OB I didn't want him to strip my membranes today because I knew he was off this weekend. He has a private practice and every other weekend he has coverage, so being his off weekend, I didn't want to go into labor. He said okay, and then after he checked me he said that even though he is off this weekend, he would be around not doing much so he told he would deliver me if I went into labor. I was soooo happy because I don't like his coverage.

With my first pregnancy he wrote VIP on my prenatal because I worked with him as a labor nurse, but I no longer work as a labor nurse so I felt weird asking him to special me on his off time. So happy that he agreed to do it without me asking!!

I was so worried I'd go into labor this weekend too! Now I can relax, and I'm certain I won't go into labor now. Oh, I'm 2 cm, 70% and -2 .

Great news! We have the same due date I have my 39 week appt this afternoon and I'm so curious to see if I've progressed since my last appt ( I was 1cm and 50%). Have you had any signs labor is on it's way?
