RLP - S/O Sharp cramps in lower abdomen

Hi, ladies.  So I read myrubbersoulx's post below about round ligament pain, and from what everyone responded, I'm pretty sure that's what I'm having right now.  But the thing is, it's been pretty consistent for the last hour and a half.  It's a sharp pain on the right half of my belly from my belly button down.  Based on what you ladies wrote and what I've read, the feeling is consistent with RLP, but is it normal that it's lasted so long?  I've been drinking a good amount of water today, and I'm not constipated. No position I lay in alleviates it, but I have been feeling the baby move.  I've been a little more active today and yesterday running errands and stuff than the previous few of days, but not significantly.  Has anyone else had this happen for this length of time?

  • Have you tried getting up and walking around?  I tend to do that and some basic stretching to alleviate the pain.

    Hope you feel better!

  • Thanks!  I've tried walking around, laying flat, laying with my feet/legs up, sitting up straight with my legs crossed, and I just did some stretching.  Nothing has helped so far, but hopefully it'll get better. :(
  • Not to alarm you and not to say it is anything more than RLP (because it's probably just that), but my doctor's rule of thumb is that if any pain lasts longer than one hour - call.

That's what I've been thinking.  Everything I'm reading points to RLP, and I've found a lot of stories where people have had the same experience, but if it still hurts in the morning, I'm going to call.  Calling tonight wouldn't have gotten me anywhere because they're closed, and it's definitely not anything worth going to the hospital for.  It's more severe discomfort than pain at this point, and I'm still feeling LO kicking away.  I think I may have just overdone it the last couple of days.
