*Update - Spider Bite

Went to Care Now after work. I was actually really surprised how quickly they got me in and out. I have never been there less than 3 hours and it took all of 45 minutes last night. I really appreciated them getting me right back to a room so I did not have to been in the waiting room with everyone who was sick.

Anyway, the doctor said that I do have a bite and it has started to get infected. They gave me an antibiotic but since the bite is on my abdomen she was not comfortable cutting into it unless it becomes absolutely necessary.

The antibiotic they gave me is not 100% effective so I am supposed to watch and if it gets any worse go to the ER. I am so hoping to avoid that and so far the bite is not any worse so we will see.

Thanks for the information and encouragement yesterday. I am really glad I decided to go on in.

On a happy note, it rained all night. We so needed it and the air smelled so clean this morning.

I'm glad they helped you out quickly! Growing up in Florida where we had some serious spiders living in our house + mailbox I know it's just safest to get it checked out. FX the antibiotic works quickly!

I'm so glad you were seen quickly and they're keeping an eye on you. I'm in Arizona where spiders, scorpions, etc are everywhere and it's worse now during monsoon season. I'm paranoid about spiders since I stuck my foot in a scorpions nest as a kid and found myself on the receiving end of Brown Recluse bite. No fun. Keep us updated and I hope you heal fast!

You are so right about this. I slept better just knowing that I was taking meds that should clear it up. Plus having the dr reassure me that this is only affecting me and the baby is fine really helped.
