Lol I am the Mom!  It was a woman selling some fundraiser thing at my door.  I will take it as a compliment.

    Just a week or two ago some guy selling those giant stockpiles of meat came to my door and asked if my parents were home. I guess we won't be looking old when we get there.

    That's funny because when telemarketers call, I always tell them 'sorry, my mom isn't home' that way they will stop trying to talk to me!

    My mom always gets ask "Hi sweetie is your daddy home?"

    Her response "Sure is, but i'm daddy's wife ... (long pause).. can I help you?"

    This convo is usually followed by lots of apologies from the person on the phone.

    Funny, same thing happened to me on the phone the other day. I said "No, she's not" and he said "OK, thank you". Bwahahahaaha!

    I get asked that on the phone all the time. My door has a giant neon 'NO SOLICITING OR MERCHANDISING' sign on it, heh heh.
