Hi everyone. I had my c-section on August 4th. I am not planning on starting a workout regimen anytime soon but I would like to plan for when I do start to work out again.
I know there are a ton of postpartum workout DVDs out there, but I was wondering if there were any that are better for c-section moms than others? They don't even need to be specifically postpartum workout dvds, they can be regular workout dvds too.
Just looking for a starting out point, and to see if you guys suggest any DVDs that I already have (because I have a TON!)
TIA!
Re: DVD Workout suggestions (for when safe to do so)
I didn't really see the need for anything c/s specific, because my recovery wasn't that much different than those of my vaginal birthing friends.
My favorite workout DVD is the 30 Day Shred. Super effective and fast - 30 minutes from start to finish.
(read it. you know you want to.)

It's not a DVD, but try out this website: bodyrock.tv
I've heard some really good things about it and I've watched a couple of the videos and they do look tough! I would assume that if you actually did the videos they post, you'll see results in a short amount of time. Trust me when I say though that some of the videos are tough. I'm athletic and I work(ed) out a lot as well as had my trainer FI train me in the gym and some of these I saw I was like "WHAAATT? No way I can do that after this baby comes out!" However, it's one of the things I plan on doing when I can. After I have this baby I have about 4 months to get in decent shape before going to the Grand Cayman Islands and a year to get ready for my wedding.
