I voted for Maximus Rex...but something about it throws me. I like Maximus and Max. Maybe Max Rex is a bit much though. I love Liam and Wyatt but not with Rex.
Rex is a bold name. My DH loves the Maximus Rex, and we'd definitely call him Max... but, I'm concerned it's just too much.
It's a little out of our style to have something so flashy. We're pretty traditional, Mason Christopher being our son's name.
If this baby is a girl we'll be naming her Meredith Jane, after grandmothers.
Like I said, traditional.
Thank you for your opinions! I'm not liking Liam and Wyatt with Rex after staring at it for a while. Asher is still on the table for us as I really like how it sounds with our last name and it has great Biblical meaning.

Something about Maximus Rex- the 3-syllable cadence of it plus the ending in S- makes me want to say Oedipus Rex. I don't really like the two names together, although I do like Max.
Rex is such a bold choice I like it best paired with something more traditional, like James.
I voted James Rex. I think James is a very nice name and sounds the best with the mn Rex. I would have voted for Max, but I don't like the name paired with Rex. I love the name Max, though!

All of this!
I didn't originally see the Oedipus correlation, but now that someone pointed it out I'd stay away from that one. A couple years ago I had a friend who used Rex as a middle name paired with Elliott and I thought it flowed really well, so maybe stick with 3 syllables on the first name, just not Greek ones?

Great bias toward James here.
My DS, my beloved, late dad...and in my opinion a timeless classic of a name.

I love Max but short for Maxwell; Maximus is too over the top for me.

Max is my favorite of your first name choices, but I don't think it works with Rex.

12/1/11 BFP, missed m/c diagnosed @ 9w2d
IMO Liam Rex has the best flow, James would be 2nd
Max Rex isn't good at all
