about today's u/s.
DH took the bpm while the doc was doing it (I instructed him to before we went in) and he got 150 the first time and 140 the second time. And this is not any old DH, he's a scientist (Chemist) who is really precise. I was going with what the doc told me and I just mentioned this to my mom and she thinks DH was almost certainly more precise than he was and that as long as it was in the normal range the doc just ballparked it. Thoughts? This is the same doctor that said I don't need PIO for IVF.
Re: Something I forgot to mention . . .
I would trust your husband....he cares more enough to be careful...
The same thing happened to a friend of mine (both she and her husband are Biologists) - she asked her husband to count and he got a much different count than the doctor....they actually confronted the doc about it and then switched.....

Yeah, I'm going back to my old OB (I only switched b/c with twins I would need a NICU). They have much better equipment there, and DH actually called for me this afternoon trying to get an appt with the good u/s sometime later this week. They haven't called back yet though. I was hoping we could get in tomorrow afternoon.

I definitely would go with your DH. In general I think it's tough to compare a manual count one day against the u/s machine.
I'm sorry you are going through this. I hope baby b is nice and strong and healthy.
