Please overview/suggestions

I am going in tomorrow evening to start cervadil so I am trying to prepare everything. Would you kind ladies look at my lists to see if I am missing something? or if you have any suggestions that'd be awesome! I am trying to be a minimalist but I am afraid I'll forget something.

My bag - robe, nursing gown, yoga pants, nursing tank, t-shirt, slipper socks, nursing bra, 4 pairs of Hanes panties, headband, bobby pins, brush, tooth brushes, travel sized shampoo/conditioner/body wash/toothpaste, and a towel.

I also have in my bag LOs things - a newborn onesie, 0-3 months onesie, two receiving blankets, socks, gumdrop paci, and mittens. (hospital provides diapers and wipes)

At home after care - pads, witch hazel, lanolin, breast pads, granny panties, healthy snacks.

I have a breast pump and a boppy but unsure if I want to bring them to the hospital or not. Also I've heard some ladies bring pillows and blankets from home. Would any of you recommend that?

TIA!

  • Can not edit from my phone. Forgot to mention our phone chargers, iPad and charger, and DH's belongings for the over night stays.

  • no need to bring underwear to hospital, they will give you mesh undies that will work way better. I definitely rec, to bring your own pillow. The hospital pillows are flat and plastic AWFUL!

  • I personally would bring the boppy - but no need to bring the pump. If you need one for any reason they'll have a hospital grade one for you to use.

If you bring your own pillow (which I also suggest) make sure it's in a colored or patterned pillow case so it doesn't get taken out with the laundry.

  • i'm not taking pillows or blankets as our hospital has halfway decent ones, although i might send someone home for a pillow if it was bad later. but we're close to the hospital.  the rest sounds reasonable to me.

  • It was recommended to me that I bring my pump when I go in.  That way the lactation consultant can work with you with YOUR specific pump in case its different from the ones the hospital has.  So Ill probably bring mine.  It can charge while Im in labor. lol  And then when the time comes, they can show me the ropes.

I packed my bag last week.  But Im missing my pillow/pillow case, and snacks.  I am having my hubby go home for some rest if I stay the night since we are just 10 minutes from the hospital so I have not packed him a bag.

Babies stuff is in the nursery, so just needs to be put in my bag.  I have a onesie Newborn...a 0-3 footy sleeper... and a blanket.  Im avoiding the pacifier for now as Im hoping to not get her hooked on one right away.  But the Gumdrop is the brand I have ready.
