What are everybody's thoughts on this?
I had been spray tanning before pregnancy and using Jergens Natural Glow lotion but quit once I got pregnant. Now we have a big event next weekend and I feel huge and pasty white and have read conflicting reports on what is considered safe and not.
Has anyone been using a tanning lotion? Has anyone asked their OB about it? My next appointment is not until after the event and I feel a little silly calling the clinic for something trivial.
I will suck it up and go pasty if I have to but wanted everyone's thoughts - TIA!

This is a helpful link for sizing up the risk of individual products. There's a huge variation between brands and also between varieties within a brand.
I second this web site, it's great. I don't use tanning products when I'm pregnant but probably will again in the future. I definitely wouldn't spray tan though. In fact, I won't do it even when I'm not pregnant anymore. There have been studies recently that have linked it to cancer. DHA has been found to be safe when it comes into contact with your skin but not with membranes such as the inside of your nose, lips, etc. So unless you are wearing full protection like goggles, nose clip, etc. and not inhaling at all I wouldn't do it.
Banana Boat makes one that doesn't have any harsh chemicals in it (parabens, etc). It's the one called airbrush with the green label (brown bottle). I would never use any self tanners with parabens - pregnant or not - and many of them do have them.
