2nd Trimester

Moving to 3rd tri. soon and getting nervous!

So I went over to the 3rd tri board and read some thing's. Now I'm a lil nervous being a FTM. I like to go into things knowing what I'm in for... Usually it helps. Haha, not so sure about this time!!!!

I knew it "was real", and that this baby has to come out but to read and hear the info doesn't calm me down! Makes me want to push it up and cross my legs!

  • Yes, and honestly, as scary as labor and delivery sounds, it all works out and is generally fine in the end. I'm not at all worried about labor and delivery this time, but it is a little scary the first time...for me it was mostly because it was something I'd never done before and I didn't know what exactly to expect. You'll be fine!! Besides, those last couple weeks will have you ready to deliver:)

  • Thanks ladies!! I know y'all are right! I'm ready to see my little one now, so its got to be stronger when your gettin so close to the end and uncomfy! When I'm not reading all the crazy things on it I feel better. On a normal day L&D thoughts don't bother me. I'm not expecting to go in and have birth with no pain or blood. Its just like PP said, first time jitters! :) I want to know what to expect and what's happening but I don't want to know every little thing that could or might. Just the basics! I'm hoping to get induced so family can come down and H can take off work. (has to have 2 week notice) plus we live about a hour from the hospital and I don't need H freaking out or having my car at work while im in labor!

I will miss my baby kicks though! They are so precious and we only plan on having one.

  • I always think of L&D as the BEST part. It goes fast, and it usually ends in seeing your baby. It's the being pregnant forever and feeling like your world sucks because you can't sleep, you cant drink alcohol, you can't eat crap food, you can't go to amusement parks, you can't keep your stamina up, you can't fit in to your cute clothes... L&D is FANTASTIC. Some people face some really tough and unpleasant complications... but just keep your eye on that finish line, and know that your chances of L&D being a nice experience are good :) If you get anxiety, work on your birth plan and talk with all us crazy serial moms who had the balls to go through it multiple times lol

  • I don't have to many of those issues. Lol. I still sometimes eat my donut or in my current case candy corn!! Just I try to not go to ccrraazzy. Energy like normal and not peeing so much will be nice.

I am sooooooo looking forward to seeing and holding my baby though!! I pray L&D goes fast, and I'm sure I will be thanking God for the drugs when I get them!!

  • After going to our birthing class and reading all the books and Thebump, I too wanted this baby to stay in forever. Her arrival was perfect and so much easier than it all seemed (other than the whole sleep deprivation thing for the next year :-) ). My mom still makes fun of me "Remember how terrified you were of delivery!" Don't worry. We all felt that way the first time and just look at how many people have more than one kid ;-)
