Frozen BM gone bad?

I just defrosted bm and it smelled funny so I dumped it.  It didn't smell horrible but it didn't smell like fresh   It was from the end of August, so I wouldn't think it would be bad.  What does your bm smell like from the freezer....does it smell just like fresh?  TIA

It can smell different and not be bad.  Check out kellymom.com...they have more information about this.  My defrosted BM seems to smell the same as my fresh/refridgerated, but it can vary by person.  It probably wasn't bad if it was frozen properly.

If it doesnt smell spoiled, I'd use it.  I've heard that frozen has a weird smell to it and mine does.  But it definitley is not a spoiled smell. DD has been getting 1-2 bottles a day of it at daycare for the last month and no problems.
