We went in for a weight check today and I had been noticing a few classic reflux symptoms with DS. Mainly, is constant gagging and choking.  Sure enough he is a little wheezy.  He's aspirating more than he actually spits up.  He's on pepcid.  Hopefully, that will work.  I have a very strong family history of reflux and if we don't improve we will be moving on the the pedi GI. My poor, sad one week old son, is on his way to pneumonia. We have to get on top of this.

Girl, I would go straight to the GI. Pedi's know little about a lot. Best wishes.

DD has reflux and has been on meds for it since around 1 or 2 weeks old.  It takes about a week for the meds to kick in, but they really help a lot.
