Not that I have anything against ANYONE. I as just curious to see how many young moms there are on here, and I don't want to offend anyone by calling them old...
Whenever I see a post about "young moms" - my knee-jerk reaction is that I fall into that category. Then I go into the thread, scroll down, seen the actual ages and realize that I am not in fact a young mom. ::sigh::

I feel young, but I don't think I fit into the category. Ha ha. I think I might even be an "old" mom. LOL.
LOL @ old beaver nugget. I sort of envision an actually young mom telling us that the beaver nugget trend was "soooo yesterday." (I hope that doesn't offend anyone, I young moms, and old moms, and all those in between)
Car Seat - I'm the exact same way. My friend cohort is spread between late 20's & early 30's (if you include DH's friends, late 30's & early 40's). But we're the only ones with kids! I'm dying for someone else to have a baby so I don't feel like such a slore/old lady.

*giggle*
I hear you. I'm pushing 30 and none of our close friends are parents yet. In fact, my girlfriends call me 'teen mom' because we had a baby so young (you know, 28).
*no disrespect to teen moms, I have mad respect for very young women who get through that challenge.
I hear ya. I got pregnant at 26 and if I had a dollar for every time I heard that I was too young to have a baby I'd be rich though in the grand scheme of things it isn't really that young. Definitely a regional thing. I'm also pushing thirty and none of my friends are parents yet, or even getting married yet. The norm around here is definitely marriage/kids in your 30s.
I'm 23, but I have never lumped myself into the "young mom" category. Mostly because when I think of "young" moms, my mind immediately jumps to immature moms.

This was my reaction too!! My first thought was that I'm young!! (I consider MY own mother to be an older mother... she's 53)... But alas... I'm turning 30 this year.
Old beaver nugget.
I feel the same way. I am turning 29 in a couple of weeks.

Love to the "oldie" using slore...I'm 25! halfway to 50 does this still make me "young"

I'm 25 too. I still think I'm young because none of my friends are even close to having kids (except one). But then when I think about it, I'm like wait, I'm 25- that's practically 30. And then I begin to weep.
(not because 30 is old, I just thought I'd have a lot more accomplished by 25)
I totally feel ya on all of this! I have one friend right now who is pregs after I've had DD for almost 2 years, and none of my other friend's have kids or even kids on the brain...they're all still at the bars every weekend etc...I never see them...or really care, we just have NOTHING in common, 25 is an awkward age with kids...and I've accomplished not a lot at 25 besides kids. lol oh well! I'm happy that's all that counts...right???? Just wish I had more IRL friends with kids that I could relate to!
I want to quote and reply to everyone, but my fear is that would be really annoying! ANYWHOO, I would consider all of you who answered to be young moms, I know alot of women who started having kids at 35+!! I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who did this parenting thing early!
So my next questions are.......
1. Did you plan your pregnancy? 2. What is your relationship status?
1a. Yes and No, we didn't sit down and say NOW we are going to try to have a baby, we just stopped using birth control, and let things happen.
2a. I am "with" G (Emery's dad) we are committed and living together, but have not tied the knot just yet. We plan to, but are waiting a little while longer, we wanted to this fall, but both of his sibling, and three of our friends beat us to it and the dates we really wanted were nabbed! Haha. Early bird gets the worm I guess.
1. Did you plan your pregnancy? All of my pregnancies were planned. Technically, we were using charting to TTA when I got pregnant with DD2, but we were planning on TTC in a couple months anyway.
2. What is your relationship status? Married for 4 years.
Can you hold my baby while I go grab a drink. Cuz I'm all immature and shiz. At least according to my neighbor who has never spoken more than 5 (judgmental) words to me.
Hostility, sense it?
eta: I also thought, "Hm, do I qualify as a young mom?"
DS was not planned, or as my mom refers to me, "accidentally on purpose" lol
DH and I have been married for 2.5 years, together for 3.
Re: Young Moms-
Here. *raises hand*
I'm 20.
I'd consider you young; I hope you consider yourself young!
Hahaha, usually I do. Today I am having some knee problems from an old rowing injury and I have a cold on top of that so my body is achy and tired
I feel young, but I don't think I fit into the category. Ha ha. I think I might even be an "old" mom. LOL.
