I am completely exhausted this week. I started back to work on Monday for pre-planning and after a relaxing summer at home with Liam being on my feet is really kicking my a**. Throw in some 1st tri exhaustion and nausea on and off and I am DONE by 3:00. Liam has been watching a lot of movies and TV and has been eating some less than inspired dinners, haha. The house is a wreck and I am really trying to care because DH gets home on Thursday and I really don't want him walking into a pigsty. PLUS we moved Liam into his new room so it's been sleep training all over again so my sleep is being interrupted quite a bit.
The further along I get the more I'm thinking that this will probably be our last kid if I have any say. DH has always wanted like three kids but I just don't know if I can deal. I would love to sleep through the night again sometime in the next few years!
Thanks for letting me complain. Here's an Oreo stuffed inside a chocolate chip cookie for you.
Sorry I bit it first. Pregnancy cravings are a b*tch.
Re: So freakin' tired
First tri is hard enough the first time around; I've heard all kinds of nightmares about first tri with a toddler.
Adding your first week back at work AND sleep training AND your H out of town all at the same time? Forget the house. I'm sure he'll recognize you're overwhelmed. He should be coming home to pamper you!
Try to get some rest when you can. Do what you gotta do, but don't worry about the rest. Seriously, your H can help you clean when he gets home.
Ha! I never check PM's. But, I responded.
And I really wish I had a few of those cookies for real. Not really helping my goal of NOT gaining as much weight as with my first.
Oh I feel for you, that was not fun, but it slowly gets easier! Congratulations, I didn't realize you were expecting again. I second not worrying about the house. Sam is 4 months old and we're still tweaking ways to keep ours clean! My energy still seems to come and go in waves, some days are really good and I feel like super mom, others DD watches too much TV and snacks all day. I tell myself it all balances out in the end Take the rest you need when you can.
Also I made those cookies over the weekend and they were good, but not as mind blowing as I expected. It was a little sad.
I made a variation of those cookies for dh on his birthday using brownie and cookie dough. I was just thinking about you, Amy. Did you have your first appt?
Yup! There is one little one in there with a good heartbeat measuring 8 weeks 1 day so we are right on track! I was so freakin' nervous before the appointment and kept imagining the ultrasound tech going "Here's the baby....and here's the other baby" and then me passing out cold on the table. I didn't have any reason to think multiples but just the idea of bringing home two babies was freaking me out. Seeing just one healthy peanut in there really gave me some relief!
I made those from that recipe floating around pinterest a few months ago. Soooooo good.
