2nd Trimester

Pregnancy Body Pillow

Hi!

I'm just visiting from the 1st trimester "club", thinking you may all have more insight on which type of pregnancy body pillow to get.  I see "U" and "C" shape pillows, and want to know which would be best.  What is the best brand?  Where is the best place to purchase?

Thanks a bunch!

  • I have the Snoogle and it's the best purchase I've made for myself, and completely worth the mony! I've lovingly nicknamed it "Snoog" and my husband is convinced I've replaced him lol.

  • I love my snoogle. They are on amazon.

  • I have just a regular body pillow and zip on cover from Target. Best $20 I have spent for pregnancy. I don't know if it matters on belly size, but I will be 18 weeks tomorrow.

It is so comfy we are considering getting DH his own.

  • I borrowed a Snoogle for my first pregnancy and loved it. I'm using a Boppy Pregnancy Pillow now, and while it's great, I feel like I liked the Snoogle better.
  • A Loft brand body pillow, $15.00 at Costco. It was a steal!

IMO The "pregnancy" pillows are ridiculously expensive and this regular body pillow seems to work just fine for me. :) Costco always seems to have the softest body pillows for cheap.

  • I have a regulary body pillow from target and it has been a godsend for my back and joint pain. My bf actually steals my from me while I sleep bc its so comfy lol

Yes  I have a basic one, too.  I got an amazingly soft cover to go on it and spent less than $20 for both.

  • I have a Snoogle and don't really like it. It's okay, but I wish I would have saved my $ and bought a regular body pillow.

  • I have not lost a wink of sleep since I got my boppy pregnancy pillow.  It is contoured to your body and is super easy to flip sides in the nite.  I also fold it in 1/2 to elevate myself sometimes....or put it behind my back to lean on.  It's wonderful!  I haven't  used my normal pillow in weeks!

  • I have the one from Boppy -- not the full body one but the smaller one that just goes between the legs with a portion sticking out on which to rest your bump. It's shaped like a comma or an apostrophe (DH and I had a lot of fun with that -- think Whose Line Is It Anyway).

I love it. I used it with DD and just broke it out this week for this pregnancy -- and I sleep better with it for sure.

I originally bought just a regular body pillow but didn't like it -- it took up too much room.

  • I have the Snoogle. It's okay.  Half of the time, I just end up putting a decorative pillow between my knees for support.  It's kind of big and cumbersome.

  • Personally, the Snoogle has been the best money spent.  I sometimes double it up at night when I have a difficult time breathing (another story) I can cuddle it both ways (left side and right side).  It is firm, which I love.   I love this pillow! I know I sound like a nut, but it has been the only way to sleep comfortably!

  • ok so the day i found out i was pregenant my husband went out and bought me the snoogle because i had seen it and said i think ill need that. i dont love it. i can't sleep with it all night, it hurts my ears (i know that sounds crazy) and i can't move at all, and i feel closterphophic after awhile, that being said my back does feel better the longer i can sleep with it.

  • I have the boppy full body pillow and it works very well for us. I went with it because it took up less room than some others and contoured to my body better. We only have a queen size bed so size was a huge factor.

This!!  I bought a body pillow and it just made me really hot.  Now I have it between the bed and the wall and i use my boppy.  It's been great.

I love my Snoogle too, I can't imagine how much worse I'd be sleeping without it. I also love how you can contort it into different shapes - I love coiling mine up so I can lean back on it to read.

This. They are cheap when there's a sale. Works like a charm.

  • I paid 50 bucks for my Boppy body pillow at Babies R Us,I think the price was ridiculous but is it the most amazing pillow EVER! I conforms perfectly to your body and is really helpful when sleeping.  It has two attached parts... the first part is shaped like a C for your belly and the bottom part is a round pillow that you can put your feet in between when you sleep.  I started using it at 16 weeks and didn't really work for me, but now that I am 24.. I can't sleep without it! I even find DH sleeping with it! He needs to get his own preggo pillow! :-)
