Who still have magazine subscriptions?

Re: Who still have magazine subscriptions?

  • H has worked in magazine publishing since graduating. If the magazine industry goes under, we will too. So I still subscribe to all my magazines on paper, even though they aren't the ones H designs. Somewhere out there, the art directors of Kiwi, Ladies Journal and Marie Claire have little mouths to feed too :)

  • I still get People - which of course seems to be one of the costliest subscriptions there is.  But anything I'd read about in there is blocked at work.  DH & I read it, then the sitter reads it, then it goes to my mom's, and it used to end up at her friend's before she passed.  I felt like we were getting our money's worth passing it around the county.

And I like the crossword puzzle.

Also get a cooking mag that his grandma buys for me in hopes that I'll keep her grandson well fed.

And I might get flamed for this but DH gets Playboy.  I actually write the check out for it too.  It has to stay out of site and is the only nudy mag allowed in the house.  And if I have to use his bathroom I'll even read the articles.

  • I do not, but my DH subscribes to WIRED. I read it on occasion. I'm generally impressed by their content.
  • I used to get a lot more but I still get a few. For years I subscribed to Cosmo.  When I had DD I realized I ran out of time to read it and couldn't care less about how to please my man 50 ways in bed.  Now I get parenting magazines and my mom every year gives me a subscription to Good Housekeeping.  I still never have time to read them except in the bathroom.

We still subscribe to a few. People, Time, Ebony, & Sports Illustrated...

  • I get Dwell and somehow InStyle (I think I got a free year with an Ulta purchase).  Anyone who has seen me knows that the fact that I get InStyle is laughable.
  • We get Entertainment Weekly, Better Homes & Gardens,  Architectural Digest and OK Magazine which just started randomly showing up.

    OK Magazine is terrible.

I used to get People, but we can't afford it now. I love the Puzzler and get the entire book of them at Christmas each year.

I used to read Cosmo through all of high school and a good part of college.  Cosmo has been recycling the same 50 tips since the 1990's... but that headline in the top left corner always got me!

Exactly!  There is only so much you can do with a penis.  Using your hands to give  BJ isn't exactly breaking news anymore.

I do not see anything wrong here... Wink

  • I sign up for free magazines when I see deals posted.  I get Parenting, Parents and Shape for free.  I bought a 2 year subscription to All You from one of the neighborhood girls fundraising for school.  We have had a subscription to Maxim for years but I don't think I am going to renew this time around.
  • I used to subscribe to so many magazines and I loved them....People, Shape, Architectural Digest, W, Town and Country, and on and on.

I never have time to read them anymore so I let them all expire.  Except Cooking Light and Parents, mainly because the subscriptions were super cheap.

I do have a daily subscription to our local dead tree newspaper.  I read a lot of news online but I just love reading an actual paper.

  • I have a gift subscription from my Aunt to Consumer Reports. I used to get a ton of magazines before the kiddo, but just don't have time for them anymore. I'm asking for my subscription to Food and Wine back again for Christmas though as I really miss the recipies.

    And/or any of the following

    1. Put his nuts in your mouth.

    2. Put your finger in his butthole (WE SWEAR HE'LL LOVE IT!!!)

    3. Bite his nipples

    4. Use hand to give combo handy/blowie.

EDIT: I realized the way I quoted this it appears that we have gone off on a totally dirty and unrelated tangent for those that have just scrolled to the bottom.  We're talking about Cosmo's 50 tips to please your man!

Do not forget to use your hair tie, scruchie, scarf to wrap around his balls.  Also to reach around and tug lightly just when he about to orgasm.

Does that work? I mean, how - what happens?
