This morning I went for a jog and had to stop because my right side hurt so much. Then I couldn't walk so I had to call my husband to come pick me up. If you are having round ligament pain, how bad is it? A friend of mine had it where she couldn't walk but I have never experienced anything thus far like what I did this morning. I am assuming it is round ligament pain but I am a FTM and therefore cannot be sure about anything. Any pointers on how to handle this? Thanks!

Re: round ligament pain- how painful is it for you?
I started having it a bit the past week. Only when I stand up too fast, or have a forceful sneeze, but nothing overly painful. Sometimes it stops me in my tracks for a second, but goes away quickly.

I'm wondering if that's what I'm feeling. I've had a couple incidents of RLP when standing up or coughing/sneezing. Those have been sharp pains that only last a couple of seconds.
This week I have a similar pain but it's more dull and is constant when I'm standing/walking. I've been trying to figure out what it is and the only thing I can come up with is RLP. Although, I'm feeling it mostly right where I'm feeling the baby (on the right side in the lower part of my uterus--kinda between my pelvic bone and my hip) so maybe it's just the baby kicking away? What do you think?
I've had 2 types of RLP:
-The sharp/jabbing/ripping pain from moving too quickly, sneezing, etc. That is horrific pain that lasts a couple of seconds. If it lasted longer than that, I wouldn't be able to function. But it's really quick and while it's alarming, it goes away so fast that it's not a big deal.
-The pulled muscle feeling in my uterus that just lingers for hours or even days. It's painful, but tolerable. Like I did too many sit ups. On days when this type of RPL seems to flare up, I try to take it easy, stay hydrated, and just wait for it to pass.

Yes, this is what is happening to me. Thanks to all of you ladies for your responses! I am feeling better now, the pain just comes and goes for a split second.

This past weekend it seemed to be happening a whole heck of a lot. It made me catch my breath a couple of times and stopped me in my tracks once or twice. Each time seemed to pass after 10-15 seconds if I stayed still, and each time occurred after a quick-ish movement from me (especially any twisting).
I wish I had pointers to deal with it. My answer was, move slowly and try to avoid twisting. It made me pretty whiny yesterday, but thankfully seems to have improved today.
