Ordering online

After the post about costco, I'm wondering if anyone is planning on doing their diaper/ wipe shopping online.

I've been looking at diapers.com and it looks like their prices are comparable to costco.

I generally do all of my shopping online (other than food) and expect I'll probably continue this with wipes/ diapers

  • Check Amazon.  Diapers.com is very expensive, I wouldn't recommend them.  Costco wipes are super cheap and great quality.  And there are frequently coupons for them.

why do you say diapers.com is expensive.  It was cheaper than amazon for the diapers I looked up... and even cheaper than the online price at costco.

I think you need an invitation to join Amazon Mom, and I don't think they are currently accepting anyone new right now.  Amazon has a Subscribe & Save program that offers a 10% discount for anything that you set up as a recurring purchase.

  • If you are a current Amazon Prime member you do not need an invitation to join.  I don't know what the wait time/process is otherwise.

  • Probably stating the obvious, but the price comparison among diapers should break down to what it costs *per diaper*. It goes up as the child grows. It should be like 18 cents per diaper for the little newborn/size 1s, and then go up to about 25 cents for size 3/size 4. I think I have that right- could be wrong. Factor in shipping if you have to, although you should never have to pay for this IMO.

I've found diapers.com to be a good option for us - timely, compariable to Costco prices, and free shipping when you spend $49 which is no problem with little kids and all that the site has to sell.

  • We're going to do CD, but we did order some awesome 7th Generation disposables that are less harmful to the environment for the first little bit since I'm sure I won't want to be doing laundry. They were 1/2 the price on Amazon than Target. Definitely check them out!
