I just got a library card but when I went to go look for books I had no idea what to check out. I got "East of Eden" to re-read because I haven't read it since high school, and another pregnancy book. What are you read/have read lately?
Anything by Jen Lancaster if you're looking for a light read/good laugh.
My all time favorites: Hunger Games, Time Travelers Wife, The Help, The Host, The Book Thief (story of WWII from the perspective of Death... very interesting).
Some really good short reads that i go back to time and time again are: The giver, Gathering blue, Messanger (all by lowis lowry), Life of Pi, Lisy's Story, and my all time favorite, Harry Potter. and yes i classify harry potter as a short read. O.o it only takes me a week to get through the whole series. ( a book a day)
I said, "Oh my, what a marvelous tune" It was the best night, never would forget how we moved. The whole place was dressed to the nines, And we were dancing, dancing Like we're made of starlight Like we're made of starlight. ~TS
Jenny Lewis' book Let's Pretend This Never Happened. I am seriously laughing so hard I'm afraid the baby will get seasick. It is so hysterical. Belly Laughs from Jenny McCarthy is also very funny and it's all about her pregnancy. I might reread that one.

I used to match books to students as a reading specialist. If you tell me some of the last reads that you loved were, I bet I can find you some awesome books I'm kind of a book nerd.

My all-time favorite book is A Thousand Splendid Suns, but recently I've also loved The Help, The Hunger Games, Bossypants, and Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me.

Hard to say exactly when I don't know what you've read and enjoyed, but I second Gone Girl. I'm reading it right now and it's great!
I have my Goodreads linked in my siggy. You can find all of my recently read books and what I've rated them, etc.
