Stupid question again lol

What are labor buddies? I keep seeing this in signatures and me being new not sure what this is.

Just someone here who's not due too close to your due date that you contact and they post your labor info to the board to keep us updated. No biggie. I had one last time and she sort of faded away before I delivered. By that time I'd made plenty of friends here so I texted one of them when I delivered and she made a little post here to let people know how it went. Then she texted me when she had her baby and I did the same for her. )

ETA: They really aren't a necessity. This time I wont have a labor buddy and I'll just update whenever I get around to it.

Basically, the idea is just that when you go into labor, you text/email your LB so they can update the boards.

Usually it's someone whose due date is kind of far away from yours so you're not in labor at the same time. 

Sometimes you just end up with someone. For instance, Anita, Toni, Steph and I kept being called bullies, so we embraced it. 

They are not necessary, but can be fun. 

Ok wait someone actually said you guys were bullies?? I must of missed a lot joining so late because I don't see that. The labor buddies is a cool idea thanks for answering
