Our children attend Goddard part-time (5 half days a week--dropped off at 8 three days, 9 am the other two, with pick-up at 12:30). While I'm excited that come Sept, we'll only be paying for one child (daughter starts school

!), I was surprised to learn the PART TIME daycare tuition for one child is $950.00. Is this reasonable for the area?
Re: IS this too much for part-time daycare in NJ?
Monthly? We pay weekly but when you break it down, I pay $780 for 3 days part time 930-230 so that's 15 hours. You are getting 20.5 hours. It essentially equals $12/hour for both of us. When you break it down weekly, you are paying $180/week which is what I pay. Grace also goes to a center but not Goddard.
Bottom line, it SUCKS! When I go back to work, I'm planning on going back to 3 full time days (part time is just for my maternity leave). For both kids, 1 infant 1 toddler is going to equal $2100/month. OUCH!!!!

I think so - but Goddard is typically more expensive. Our rate for those hours is about $800 a month. We'll be paying $925 for 8 - 3 pm. They don't give you much of a discount for the shorter hours.
