OMG - I'm still in zombie mode from an amazing weekend with Khays8785.
She and I connected initially through TTCAL when I first posted my blog shortly after my D&C in late May. Her response on my blog lead me to find her blog where we both realized that she and I had nearly identical experiences as far as hearing the heartbeat, being diagnosed with missed miscarriages, our babies both stopping to grow at the same age, and finding out about our losses at the same time. We were both going through the same thing at the same time and really have been relying heavily on one another for support outside of the boards as well.
Shortly after getting to know one another online/gchatting/texting/emailing/skyping we decided that it would be really fun to meet in real life... and I live in Iowa and she lives in New Jersey... I weighed the fun factor for both locations and somehow going to the Jersey shore and staying in the upper west side of manhattan won over cornfields and cheap beer.

This is the two of us on our first day out together. Forgive the lack of looking cute and done up, it was a beautiful day and we HAD to get in the water! (I'm on the left in the blue)
It was such a fun weekend and an amazing experience! Honestly, I wasn't sure what it was going to be like going into it - like what if the chemistry between the two of us just was OFF in real life... but no... we couldn't shut up if you tried! It felt like we'd known each other for YEARS.
The only thing I'm sorry about is that she lives so far away, but she has graciously offered to meet up in Iowa soon! I think it has something to do with the fact that we could have fun if we were locked up in a garage somewhere ![]()
I'm going to write more about this in my blog later on!!! I MISS YOU KHAYS8785 (I never called her that in real life... that was a real missed opportunity hehe)
