DS is moving around now and getting into stuff, specifically cables and cords. We put light socket plugs everywhere and I moved light furniture that he can pull down on himself so far, but that's it.
How are you handling situations where LO goes after cables or tries to play with things they shouldn't (like stereo equipment). I've been removing him from the area and telling him 'don't touch', 'danger' or something like that, but I'm not sure if it will work or if I should be doing more?
Re: How are you Babyproofing?
There are very few things that Charlotte can reach but isn't allowed to have. The hardest issue we deal with is the cat food that's down at her levels. The cats have to eat and there isn't anywhere that I can put it that she can't get to.
But I've started to really tell her no. I will use a firm, strong, louder voice and tell her 'No.' It's actually starting to work and she's starting to care about the cat food less and less. I'd much rather her understand what she can and can't get into instead of just taking everything away from her.

There's a lot of me saying "not for A". My husband just flat out says "NO" (a lot).

Ah, yes! I forgot to mention that he is constantly going after shoes and the dog dishes. Yuck!
We have tried a strong firm no when LO gets near the stereo (his new favorite thing) or the cat food but he doesn't respond at all. We will keep at it.
Other than that we have blocked off the doors leaving the living room so he is confined to one room. We have the socket plugs in the living room sockets and I think that it is all we are doing for now. We also used a gate to block off our fireplace.
Margo is just starting to get mobile. She likes to play with the doors and drawers of the entertainment center. Sitting on top of the entertainment center is our giant TV.
We put little gadgets on the doors and drawers to keep them closed, but I still feel like they can open enough to pinch little fingers. But the big thing we did is get a bracket to attach the TV to the wall. I'm so scared that something is going to fall on her.
