No crying over spilled milk...unless it's all over your couch! Help!

DH spilled half a glass of milk on the couch this morning! I tried soaking up the milk best I could, taking a sopping wet towel and dabbing at it so water would mix with it. Then I walked all over it with a towel. DH came over with a soapy rag and started scrubbing in the middle of all of this. Well, I dried it in front of a fan and now it's really rough/stiff and smells faintly of milk still. What else can I do?!

O and flipping the cushion isn't an option. We got couches that dont have an underside that matches. It's just plain black fabric with velcro to hold it in. Smart huh?

My first thought is to check the label of the cushion to see if the cover is washable.  And to do a good cleaning of the cushion with the cover off it if you can.

Can you  remove the stuffing/foam from he cushion and wash or Febreeze it separately?  If you let that air out it should help since most of the spill was soaked up by that. Hope that helps!

Is it microfiber? Try this, we cleaned ours like this a few weeks ago and it looks brand new.

Personally I would use carpet cleaner on it- something like Spot Shot. I've had that stuff work miracles.
