Just curious what you ladies are bringing to the hospital for yourselves? After having baby, I picture myself wanting to put on my own clothes (sweats and tanks). Is that how it will go?

I'm bringing a nursing gown with a robe to wear after delivery. I'll probably bring a pair of loose comfy pj pants and a nursing tank as well...just in case the gown gets on my nerves.

I wore a nightgown and robe of my own after my DD was born when I had visitors on the second day, but other than that I wore the hospital gown. Especially the first day, when I was bleeding heavily, I had no desire to mess up my own clothes. Also, the gowns my hospital had had snaps at the shoulders to make breastfeeding easy. I think the gowns are actually cardiac unit gowns (they also have snaps to facilitate cardiac monitor wires), but hey -- it worked!
I wore pj pants, nursing tank, and cardigan. I brought 2 of each and a going home outfit. I didn't end up wearing my going home outfit and just stayed in my pj pants. I'm not a gown kind of girl.
I'm getting mine tomorrow at BRU hopefully. I saw one there a couple of months ago, but all they had was an XL and it looked huge. I hope they got some more in stock. Otherwise, I'll have to go to Macy's. I haven't found a Motherhood or Destination Maternity store out here, yet. Also, can I just say....I really wish they sold basic nursing tanks in a package like they do men's undershirts, you know?? They are so freaking expensive, it'd be nice to have at least a plain "affordable" version so you can have more than just a couple.

The other gown I have is also Motherhood, but I bought it used. It is grey and pink striped. Because that matters, you know?
In all actuality, I'm pretty excited to have cute AND comfy clothes for the hospital this time. Last time I had this huge spaghetti strap nightgown that was already rather worn out and has no shape or anything. I didn't expect *any* visitors and didn't care, but several people from H's job stopped by. Yeesh.
I like to change as soon as I can! This time I will try to nurse so a nursing tank is something I need to buy, and I'm also bringing my yoga pants for sure!
I'll probably have c-section again so day #1 I'll be in hospital gown, #2 after shower I'll wear my own gown with robe (I'm not a fan but when else will I wear it? It was a gift from my first's baby shower). #3 I'll wear a nursing pj set with pants. Day #4 I'll wear sweats, nursing tank, and sweater/hoodie or something similar and that I'll wear home. I may throw in 1 more pj set that has button up top from last time too in case I change my mind on my own gown or get something bloody/dirty.
ETA: I'll have a sleep nurse bra for under anything I wear or a nursing tank.
I must be the only one, but I stayed in the hospital gown the entire time until I showered & dressed to go home (but I was only there 23 hours after delivery).

It is not an "official" nursing gown but I found a soft cotton nightgown with buttons that go down far enough for easy access on clearance at Burlington Coat Factory for $6 yesterday. At that price, I thought it was worth a try and I won't be upset if it gets ruined. (If you go this route, try out the buttons. Some of that style were really hard to undo and would have taken way too long with a hungry baby.)
I'll also bring the yoga pants/nursing tank combo and see what sounds comfiest.
I stayed in the hospital gown the whole time last time, but I had third-degree internal and external tearing along with excessive bleeding, so they were checking on my lady bits about once an hour for the first 24 hours...would have been a pain with pants. This time I am having a c-section and bringing a few nightgowns and nursing tanks.

Re: Hospital Attire?
Oh my goodness yes I was dying to get into my own clothes.
I learned with DD I was super uncomfortable in nightgowns. I had a c-section so I assumed that I wouldn't want a waistband. Wrong.
With DS I was so much more comfortable in my sweatpants and tank top.

This is the nursing gown I got from motherhood for when I get cleaned up and non-immediate family visitors start coming- https://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?Product_Id=906380153&MasterCategory_Id=MC16&green=2ddf7c00-ff40-0df5b8-964c-74facbc5629f
I'll bring some sort of robe and a pair of pj pants and nursing tank too.
Yoga pants, nursing tanks, nursing bras, zip up hoodie because it gets cold, and socks.
