I know this has been asked a million times - but does anyone have a good recommendation for a pediatric dentist in Howard County? Obviously the closer to Clarksville the better.
And while I'm on the subject of little teeth, is there some magical trick to brushing a toddler's teeth that I don't know? DS goes along with almost everything...until it's time to brush. I feel like I've tried everything but it inevitably becomes a horrible wrestling match during bath time every night and I know that's only making it worse. If I give him the toothbrush he'll mess with it - but that's obviously not enough since he's hardly hitting every tooth.
Sometimes I wish they made baby treats like the ones for cats that are supposed to clean their teeth when they eat them.

Lol - I sing my heart out. It's pretty pathetic - he's screaming and I'm singing happy tooth brushing songs. I even bailed on the Tom's of Maine stuff in favor of some gross Thomas the Train toothpaste. No luck.

I am a tooth brushing failure.
Just keep trying different tricks - sing, take turns, do it at the kitchen sink, in his room, etc., can you find the germs in there, etc.
We've gone to this pediatric dentist - I thought they were great!

Evie brushes her own teeth, because she refuses to let us do it. Like other's said she clamps her mouth down and cannot be bribed or cajoled into opening up.
We are smack dab in the middle of the, "I DO MYSELF!" phase of the terrible twos.At least she is getting in the habit of brushing her teeth. Our pediatrician said it wasn't necessary to take kids to the dentist until they are 3. I am assuming this has more to do with the kids ability to understand and cooperate then anything magical that happens at 3.
So, no words of wisdom, but I do feel your pain. I console myself with the knowledge that they are baby teeth and will fall out eventually.
