Where did you get your birth announcements?

We'd like to send out a batch of announcements - standard ones with a couple of photos, vital stats... would like them to be cute, but not break the bank. Any recommendations for good sites/sources would be most appreciated. TIA!

I made my own using microsoft publisher. If you have access it's really easy to do. Especially if you keep it simple. Sent it to costco using their invite option and spent $15 for 50 that included envelopes. You just have to make a custom size in publisher it was 6x7.5 for the invite or u could do a 5x7 or 4x6 size and buy envelopes. It's easy and cheap and they look great!

I think we're going to use Shutterfly. They have a few twins templates that are cute and super easy to just add info/pictures. If you sign up for their emails they send tons of discounts and specials. But sometimes there are too many emails!

Also, I didn't do it for these, but I have made my own postcards in the past for various things. (I made thank you cards for the babies gifts with a photo of them on the front and wrote a message on the back.) I buy 4x6 white note cards at and print on my home printer. You can then use a cheaper postcard stamp.If you google "standard postcard size" you will find guides on where you can have text, images, etc and where to put the address line.

I've also done my own Christmas cards, 4x6 size designed in Photoshop and sent to Costco for printing.  If you have access to/knowledge of any publishing software like PP mentioned, that is the way to go for cost savings. I want to say prints at Costco are around $.14 each.

we just ordered these.  they usually run a 20 percent off deal which helps a lot.  They had a lot of cute twin ones.

We made our own because I wanted the linen finish and it was going to cost us an arm and a leg to get those and DH has a professional photography license so we ordered them through a professional studio. I really liked purple stork when I was looking. They would send out a sample.

Our photographer made our announcements and baptism invites. She uses photoshop and then has them printed at a photo lab who then ships them to us. She charges us $1 each. They look great! It's hard to find something on shutterfly for boy/girl twins!

I used shutterfly for ours.  I loved ours.  I did one for each baby, but they do have twin ones that are really nice as well.  They are pretty reasonable price wise.

I used Shutterfly for my singletons and had great results. Just received my twin announcements from them and the photo quality was terrible! The colors looked like the printed was low on ink or something, really weird. I could even see a blue hue around the black background. I used pictures that were taken professionally with excellent resolution, too. I got a reorder for free, so hopefully they are better. If not I will request a refund and send them back.
