Too much?

Is Liam Williams too matchy matchy? What about W names like Wyatt and Wesley? I'm leaning towards "yes".

It's like all of my boy names are off-limits. Stupid last name lol.

Yes, Liam Williams is too matchy to me. Liam can be a nn for William, so it seems like the same name twice to me. I don't mind another W with your last name though. I really like Wesley.

agree.. .to me its another case of Phillip Phillips (American Idol)... The same name twice.

Since Liam is a NN for William it's too much together IMO. Wyatt Willams doesn't sound all that bad but Wesley Williams sounds really bad.

Unfortunately, I too think it sounds a bit much and repetitive. But your other W names sound fine!

IMO, the "matchiness" of names comes more from the ending of a name than the beginning.  Same first letters sound fine (Wesley Williams is good) but that matching ending sound turns me off every time.

I think Liam Williams is too much, but not W first names, as long as the middle name is not a W as well.

My nephew is William but everyone calls him Liam. It would seem like the same name twice. I think Wesley Williams sounds nice. A lot of names will sound good with Williams, at least you've got options.

Liam Williams is terrible IMO.  I also have a W- LN.  We aren't considering any W- FNs or MNs because we want to avoid alliteration.

Yes very much so.  Liam is a NN for William.  I don't think there is a problem with Wyatt tho, Liam Wyatt sounds very cute.
