gift idea for friend who just got big new job?

a good friend got a new job that is a big step up in title & status, she is super excited about it but also feeling a bit overwhelmed as it is in a somewhat new arena for her & the expectations are very high... I would love to send her something but can't think of good ideas...someone already sent her a plant type deal for her office...any good ideas that aren't really over the top or silly, perhaps useful in some way (she has been working in corporate america for 17 yrs so so will already have the typical nice business card holder type things...)

Something to send....hmmmm...I would say a congrats card and you can always add a GC to a store to help towards her biz wardrobe.  I think some of the online novelty shops have Boss mugs,desk calendars, personalized pens, picture frames,etc...that can be shipped. None of this is too original, I suppose.

My mgr has an electric plate warmer and he puts scented candles on them.  His office smells wonderful!  If I had an office and not a cube I would love this gift.

Hmmm personalized stuff is an idea...if even notepad or some sort of thing!

I don't know if your friend is the sparkly type or what your budget is, but Swarovski sells really pretty pens for around $30.  I've bought these as gifts and want one for myself!
