I had a moment yesterday at the BK drive thru haha I placed my food order and then I saw the sign for frozen lemonade and it looked so good I HAD to have one! So I asked for one and when the lady told me they are sold out for the season I actually got really pissed! haha I wanted to yell at the lady and tell her they should take down the sign if they don't actually have it because that's false advertisement. Of course, I didn't actually say anything haha I realized I was completely ridiculous to be that mad over a frozen lemonade, but what can I say, I was HOT and pregnant.
What irrational moments have you had?
Re: You know you're pregnant when...
Yeah, I'd have to agree with you, you sound like you probably are a snarky btch. Heaven forbid I have a little fun. I thought it was funny because as I was driving away I had to laugh at myself realizing that normally I wouldn't have gotten so angry over something so silly. I was trying to make a fun post for people to participate in. How hard would it have been to just ignore it if you don't like it?
Back in May we were driving home from a long road trip (Wisconsin to Georgia and back) and we had stopped at a Jason's Deli somewhere in Indiana. We have a lot of food allergies/issues, so it is hard to find a place to eat without spending a bunch of money and we were trying to be cheap without eating yet another bunless burger (gluten is a big issue).
We stopped at Jason's Deli because they have the huge potatoes full of yummy so we could have something more substantial than a salad for the long drive home. Well, they were out of potatoes for at least 30-45 minutes. I seriously started panicking. I was starving as only a pregnant lady can be, we couldn't just up and go somewhere else easily, and DS was both hungry and in need of a nap, so waiting wasn't really an option. I almost started crying and actually told the cashier that we *had* to have potatoes. It was ridiculous.
DH pulled me away from the counter to talk about our options, and I guess the cashier told the manager. He came over and said there was enough left for 1 more potato meal, and did we want it. YES! I almost cried *again* in relief. DH and I ended up splitting the potato meal and a salad, and DS had a big pile of lunch meat and some fruit and chips. Overall, not a bad meal. I spent the rest of the time feeling like an idiot for freaking out like that, though.
mmmmmmm I love the cherry limeade too!! That was really nice of her
Nobody else seemed to really have a problem figuring out where I was going with that. Maybe it is normal for some people to get that ticked off over something that silly, but for me it's not, so it was a total pregnant moment. I don't need people to respond just to be snarky. Aren't there plenty of other people looking for snarky responses that you could stick to harassing?
Oh please, the point of your response wasn't to agree with me. It was to make it sound like I was making a stupid point. Yes, I realize that you know when you're pregnant when you get the positive test. I'm pretty sure we all realize that, just like you realized that the reason for my post was for people to do as some have done and share their stories too. It's fine if you don't think it's funny or don't want to participate, but then just leave it alone.
No worries, I understood what you meant!
You know you're pregnant when you can't stand to be around anyone. Everything someone says or does bugs you to no end!
When you get excited about having sloppy joe's with tattor tots for dinner.
When you HAVE TO HAVE ice cream before you go to bed.
But the one that I get laughed at the most for is when I could not get my washing machine to work and I stood their yelling and hitting it. Then as I sat on the floor in front of it I started crying begging it to just work one more time and promised it I would retire it to the junk yard if it just finished my last load. Yep it started
~ However my husband laughed at me and put a sign on our new washer that said "Please don't hit me".
That is EXACTLY what I had for dinner on Tuesday, and then for leftovers on Wednesday!! And I also have a Klondike bar every night before bed...I just bought the Oreo kind so I am going to try that one tonight
WAIT WAIT WAIT they have a Oreo Klondike bar????..............Running out the door to the store to buy some OMG
They also have reeses...well I don't think they are klondike brand, but they are like Klondikes. Best thing I have been given in a long time!!
YES! And Reese's and Heath and mint chocolate chip!!!! So many flavors, YUM!!! Enjoy!
And yes, they are Klondikes!! I have yet to try the Reese's, it sounds so good

Ughh head on over to the TTGP board. There are plenty of "fights" over there. If you're referring to the above, I would hardly call that a fight. I think you're just trying to stir the pot.

I'm sorry...what was that you were saying? I've never even heard of such a thing! Is this some secret milkshake they have?? And damm it, why does it have to have seasons?!
Gotcha. I am here. Daily. I read, I don't always participate, b/c of not always knowing what to say or getting flamed for something "dumb." But yeah, I get what y'all are saying...

This is by far the best thread of the day
Just an FYI I found out that the local BK has no way of changing the ads that appear on their order screen because it is down by the district office. I found this out the day I wanted both a buck double and their funnel cake sticks, I almost cried and I wasn't even prego when that happened. I told the guy I needed a minute and he responded with "I understand, take your time." And I have really wanted both of those this pregnancy, so I refuse to go to BK.
