Has anyone else been buying a few items because it's garage sale season?

DH and I are always tight on cash so we've been picking up quite a few items at garage sales. I know it's still pretty early, but there's just such great deals on basically brand new baby items.

Funny that you just posted this. I was letting my dogs out this morning to go potty and as I sat on my deck I counted 10 'bigger' toys that we bought at garage sales for DS. Big trucks, big wheels, wagons, etc. We could never have afforded to buy those things new. I love it.

I have purchased oodles of clothes for DS at garage sales and I love that I can be picky so he basically only wears Gap, Gymboree, Janie and Jack, etc. Once again, I could never afford to buy it all new.

We also got an exersaucer and a bouncy chair at a garage sale. I love them. After I had DS I realized that I needed some sort of baby seat in all the main rooms of my house. For example if I brought laundry downstairs I needed to bring DS too and I needed somewhere in my unfished basement to put him. I new I couldn't afford to buy all of the baby gear new so I started checking out sales. Total score!

Have fun with it and you can be picky and get super nice things!

And check out Craigslist too! I have a girlfriend that gets the best stuff on there.

We've bought clothes, boppy, bouncy seat, play mat, books, and maternity clothes so far. We are hoping to get a bunch of stuff at this huge yard sale this weekend.

I bought a bunch of stuff at garage sales this past weekend. 1/2 of what I bought was brand new, still in the box! I saved at least $300+ dollars buying "used". I love everything I bought!

I hit up some early in the summer and got some cute newborn through 1 year neutral clothing items. I'm kind of waiting until we find out the sex to really hit them up again though.

We got a brand new lamaze mobile for 3$ which I found listed on the web at $45+! Also $200 worth of cloth diapers for $10 (we figured we might as well giving CD a shot)

I'm headed to a JBF sale today! I'm notoriously cheap, so this baby is lucky to get ANYTHING new (Except the car seat, I will not risk buying that used)

I wanted to wait until we found out the sex before I bought items and we just found out it's a girl so we'll definitely be hitting up garage sales now. I cannot wait!

We bought a Fisher Price cradle swing (normally $150) for $20 and it was barely used! It was a swing the Grandma bought for her house and baby didn't care for it. DS loved his swing!

As long as I can wash it, I love finding deals at garage sales!

We just picked up a fisher price cradle swing today for $25! I looked up the model (nature's touch) and its also worth $150. I read so many great reviews on it, I cant wait to test it out!
