I've never met with a midwife before, only our OB and the high risk specialist. We get to meet the CNM for our OB today and I can't think of anything to ask other than about the dizzy spells I've had this week.
When you were 14-15 weeks, what questions did you ask? We've already had four u/s and our a/s is scheduled for Aug 27th. I'm at a loss as to what will happen at this appt and what I should do besides pee in a cup. TIA!
Re: Seeing midwife for the first time today, what should I ask?
I feel as if I never have enough questions at my appt but I think this is ok and not something to stress yourself out over. I think at that appt I asked about how they do call and what is the likelihood that that person will deliver me. I also asked about inductions and their thoughts on c-sections ( I probably should have asked before that but I didn't).
Just a few suggestions but don't worry about not having enough questions- they will come! Good luck!!
The only thing I asked about was if it was normal to feel my uterus pop out during sex. Next visit I will ask who will be doing a c-section if I do need one.
ETA as far as what happened during the appt, I peed in a cup and we listened to the HB with the doppler for a little while. She said it was kind of a "why am I here" appt but I did get an RX for more bloodwork.
I don't necessarily have questions at every appointment I just ask things if something comes up that I need an answer to, so don't feel bad if you don't have anything!
Most of your appointments will just be getting weighed, pee in a cup, check blood pressure, check fundal height, and then listen to baby's heartbeat with the doppler.
