Baby shower date!

Ok ladies. When is everyone having there baby shower. I was thinking nov 11th but that weekend won't work. The week after is 4 days before thanksgiving and it's looking like that's the only open weekend it can work for everyone. 

 

nt ideas or advice!? Help!!!

Mine is being planned for the Saturday after Thanksgiving. MIL wanted to have it on Black Friday (yes, seriously), but luckily DH and my BFF talked her out of it.

I picked dec 1st for my baby shower..i'm due jan 5th so that's like a month in advance..i'll be 37wks on dec 15th so just in case baby comes early least i'll have a few things! Hopefully things work out well! I tried not to have my shower too close to any holidays so i chose the wkend after thanksgiving! I think if that's the only open wkend for everyone go with that date nov 11th!

Mine is going to be October 27th or November 17th.

No set date yet, but we'll probably have two - one in maybe October (SO family side) and one the first weekend of December (my family side - they live far apart). We're in a similar predicament in that my sister is not too far ahead of me, (she's having hers right after her baby is born b/c they live on the other side of the country) in mid November and are trying to space things apart a littlebit for our side of the family. It's alot going on with two showers, Thanksgiving, and Christmas plans and traveling all so close, but...what are ya gonna do...it's not ideal, but I think people plan for things to be crazy around that time of year, and especially if most people aren't having to travel too far I don't think it'll be an issue. Good luck

We are going with the November 11 date. Sucks that it won't work for you. It is the last weekend before the holiday hooplah begins.

Mine is planned for Nov 17th. We thought about the end of Oct, but this weekend worked out best for several friends and family members already.

My first one is September 16 here in Virginia. I'll have one in Florida whenever I can get down there!

I would need that Friday off to drive up (so we can bring all of our goodies home) but someone else at work already has off so its next to impossible for me to get it off. As you can imagine I am banking on that holiday weekend with Monday off as a drive back day. So we may have to push it back to mid October for Columbus Day Weekend.

One shower is planned for November 3rd. The other shower date is still being hashed out by the hostesses but it will either be a couple week before or after the November 3rd shower. (We all want the shower out of the way before the holiday season begins...)

I'm due 1/18 and I'm having it Oct 20! I have to fly to CA (I recently moved to TN) because all my friends/family live there. I don't think Oct is too early.

My first (local) is on Oct 13th.  My 2nd hosted near where I grew up is on Nov 3

What do your hosts want?  My hosts did not want to do it around the holidays so we made it earlier.

I don't see anything wrong with the weekend before Thanksgiving.  I say have it whenever it works best for you and your group of friends/ family.

 

 Friends of ours are doing a couples shower for us the weekend of nov 10, but we have to wait until the times of specific football games have been posted before the final date and time can be set---awful I know but this is the life I live with DH and the other guys in the fall!

What about the 1st weekend of December? I'm not having a shower this time around, obviously, but with my previous pregnancies I always had my shower 4-6 weeks before my due date.

We are having one on 11/17, 11/18, and 12/1. 

November showers are back home and mostly family, December showers is a co ed shower with friends.

Mine will be Oct 20th.  That way I will have it all done before the holidays and stuff.

My mom will not tell me the date but I know it is in Oct. near the end. She said she would rather have it when I am 28-30 weeks b/c then I have about 9-10 weeks to finish getting what I need and not be too exhausted. She also said she didn't want to be near the holidays b/c people are so busy making out of town plans and planning thanksgiving and christmas she doesn't want people to feel overwhelmed with things and not come. I don't really care when just not a Sunday b/c my out of town family will be coming and I am sure they have to work Monday and would rather it be on a sat.

Originally we were planning for November 3 but found out two of my good friends who were going to help plan will be out of town. Considering changing to November 10.

Mine is going to be November 3rd. It is a bit on the early side (I will be 28 weeks) but my hostess wanted to do it before the holidays get into full swing and I agreed!

 This.  DH and I live in a different state than where we grew up - so both of our families and majority of our friends a 5 hour trip away from us.  We figured we would travel to see everyone for Thanksgiving since Christmas is out, and my mom and MIL offered to plan the shower for that weekend.
