DS's sleep has been crappy the past 3 nights (probably due to teething).  I was in Wal-Mart today and saw the seahorse that I've seen so much about on the bump.  So I bought it, hoping it could help.  I got it home and it won't make any noise, but does light up.  I tried changing the batteries and that didn't help. 

Did I just get a dud or is there something else I'm supposed to do? 

Thanks for any help you can give!

    Just lurking here....Are you talking about the thing that looks like a glow worm only its a seahorse?  If so, we have the same one.  It should light up and play music when you press the tummy.  It will play several songs with a little pause between each one.

    That's a bummer. I would try again with another one, though. My son really loves his, and it does seem to help him get to sleep. :)

    Have you opened the back and flipped the switch on the plastic case?  I'm pretty sure it has a demo mode and a real mode.

    This.  In fact, if I recall correctly, it has a lights only mode, a demo mode, and a light and music mode.
