supply question

My supply started very small and grew very slowly because of multiple factors (c-section, extreme micro preemie, exclusive pumping, stress, etc) but I was able to keep up with my daughters demands until about 2 months ago when my supply topped out at 22-24 ounces per day.  

I started out pumping 8-10 times per day and weaned down to breastfeeding twice a day and pumping 4 times a day when she came home from the NICU at 4 months.  I am now down to breastfeeding twice a day and pumping twice a day (4 ounces per session).  I have just run out of my freezer supply this past month and she now gets 1.5 bottles of formula per day.

 If I were to drop pumping all together do you think I would have enough supply to continue to breastfeed her twice a day or would I dry up all together?

Only time will tell, but it is likely you'll be able to continue breastfeeding twice a day. Even that amount will be beneficial, so it's worth sticking with it if you can.
