Letters for baby's name in nursery

So I'm going to order the letters for the baby's name in her nursery. What size should I get? I can get 6.5", 8" or 9". I'm thinking 8 would be good, but it's hard to envision using just my ruler. What do you guys think? Also, only the KYL in Kayla and G in Grace would be sized to the requested inches.
