sending PM's

Ok, maybe I am just completely missing it - but I am trying to figure out how to send a PM to someone.  I clicked on the "check private messages" tab, but can't find a way to create a new one - am I just missing it or is the option somewhere else?  TIA

Find the person you want to pm in a post, click contact (right next to reply), then send private message.
