I am a reader and a crafter. My sister's got the athlete genes! I like to cross-stitch, crochet, scrapbook and have started making some cards. I haven't done much of any of these things besides read lately (too much time bumping LOL). I'm going to try to get a cross-stitch finished in the next few weeks for the nursery. After that I want to crochet a new blanket for this little man and I am WAAAY behind on my scrapping....just took a bunch of new pics, so I'd better get busy with the old ones. Maybe I'll watch the olympics after LO goes to bed a try to do some scrapping, or stitching. LOL!
Vents/Updates:
Feeling much more rested after my 2w off work. Stress level is also much reduced since my last bleeding scare. I just hope and pray that was the last visit to the hospital until November when LO is allowed to make his appearance. Still arguing with DH over the name for this peanut. Next appt isn't til the 14th (assuming no further bleeding) and I will probably have to go for my GTT later that week.
me (36): Hypothyroid (on Levothroid), low vit. d, borderline/high fsh (day 3: between 7-10) (day 10: 13 during CCCT), AFC: 14
dh (31): awesome (minus one sample with agglutination)
Diagnosis:possible DOR and/or unexplained + elevated NK cells + MTHFR (C677T - one copy)
MAY 2011 - FEB 2012 - 3 injectable IUI's with numerous cancellations due to high TSH levels

My Dr. keeps joking that I am carrying a big baby. I don't find him funny anymore :-) My dd was only 7lbs 14 oz. I think I am measuring 2 weeks ahead but he is not concerned. I am feeling huge and am paralyzed by these Braxton Hicks contractions I seem to be having more and more of. Not to mention this just has to be the hottest summer on record! OK vent over!
QOTW: I do cross stitch and bake cupcakes. I also like to do odd things like trapeze but I will not be trying anything like that for a while.
Updates or vents: I went maternity shopping for the first time this weekend. It was so exciting and I got all of the basics. I just did not realize how expensive maternity clothes would be. I thought since you only wear them for a year that designers would give you a break. Still so worth it. I have waited so long to be able to do this kind of shopping, I told DH that it was as exciting if not more exciting than buying my wedding gown.
QOTW: I race sailboats on Lake Michigan. I just told my skipper today and we are making a game time decision for each race if I am sailing or not (Mondays and some Fridays). Tonight is iffy - if the water stays flat (no waves) and the winds are light (under 10 mph) I might go out. Big waves and/or big wind and I am not sailing. I also knit (need to look for baby patterns - I want to make the blanket, sweater, and hat our LO comes home in) and love to bake (especially cheesecakes).
Update: MS and fatigue are still kicking my butt. Doing better on the MS front, but still along ways to improve. I seem to feel much better on the days where I get at least 9.5 hours of sleep the night before. My mom says she had the same fatigue and MS with me (improved in the 2nd tri), and that my brother was much easier on her. She ended up only gaining 12 pounds with me - and is was 9.5 of it!

I am a big time reader. not really an athlete but I enjoy figure skating in the winter.

Moving right along. Starting to panic a little bit that I am 22 weeks and have not even looked at cribs or any of the basics. Haven't even hired a painter for the office that will soon become a nursery. I am also surprised that no one has talked to me about a shower yet. This is our first so I would think someone would be throwing one. Oh well

I feel like I've been away a really long time. I got assigned a big project at work and I haven't been able to 'bump' for a few weeks. I've missed keeping up with everyone but glad to steal a few minutes to check in today!

I would love to craft, but I have like ZERO creativity. I get an epiphany on occasion and do something crafty but it doesn't come naturally. I'd say I'm more of an adventurer. I like to try new things, travel, and get out of my comfort zone!

MS is gone, hallelujah! 2nd Tri has been good so far. Last OB appt they just checked the HB using doppler and everything sounded good. Trying to survive this project at work and looking forward to my vacation coming up in mid-August...I need it!

I'm a little of both. I play outdoor sand volleyball, however I promised DH that I would stop when I hit third tri... little sad about that because I feel like baby and I can still play without any worries, but he's pretty set on it... we do about 1 5k a month and I try to get in a triathlon once a summer as well. I do crafts, for a friends baby I hand painted wooden letters for her nursery, for another I sewed a baby blanket and for my own lo I am in the process of sewing/customizing curtains for his room. I'm definitely a reader and I would love to be an adventurer however as I don't find the time too much now with work and school I can't imagine that adding a baby into the mix will allow for too much travel, at least for the first couple years.

I'm currently in the market for Orthopedic Flip Flops as I am developing flat feet and heel plantar facitis (pain). As a woman who loves and misses my closet full of suits and high heels this is not a happy development. Luckily I have found some that are no hideous but I draw the line at spending $80 on a pair of flip flops... better be the best flip flops I've ever owned at that price.

I don't really have any hobbies but this will def change when the LO is born. I used to make jewellery or paint glasses but haven't done it in forever. I looooove to ski and it's my favorite sport. I live in a beachfront city so lots of activities around here... running, rollerblading, biking, hiking, kayaking, camping... I can't wait to teach the LO how to ski.

I am behind on all of these things except shopping, and I have to say that even though I've been slacking on heading out early for garage sales, I've already gotten so much good baby stuff at those sales this summer! Now it's time to round out the baby purchases with new stuff using my completion coupon. How is it possibly time for that already?
Updates or vents? Breech baby has turned! Woohooo! And I'm starting to wonder if I am having Braxton Hicks or possibly even real contractions? Today I've been feeling tightness/cramping in my tummy interspersed with kicking/rolling as per his usual. I wasn't paying much attention to timing because it's been a busy day. Not sure what's going on in there but I am not ready for him to come out yet!

Update:
Considering previous miscarriages, with this pregnancy I decided I wasn't going to take it easy and whatever was going to happen would. This weekend I took the kids to Kings Island and rode 3 coasters myself. Then Sunday I ran my first 5K and am SUPER excited that I'm not cramping or spotting!! Previously I spent weeks bed bound to no avail.
QOTW: I used to be an adventurer and sometimes writer, now I'm just a very infrequent writer.
Updates: 39 week appointment where nothing happened.

I have a RCS scheduled for 8/23! I can't believe we have less than a month to go! I'm hoping baby is no longer breach and wants to come a few days early, so I have a chance at a VBAC.

QOTW: I am into cupcakes this year. I tried to bake one new recipe a month but eventually I found that I have a couple "go-to" recipes that I like to make for people so I have not tried new recipes recently. I'll probably do a pumpkin spice in the fall. I also like to paint (acrylic on canvas), read books like crazy, and I do enjoy cross-stitching but I haven't done it since the four weeks before DS was born. I sat on my butt that whole month, no wonder he was a week late, ha! I might take it up again if I find something cute for the little girl I'm having.
Updates/vents: No prenatal appts until the end of August. My physical complaints are my sacroiliac joint problem on my right pelvis/hip region which I have to do PT exercises daily and see a PT every three weeks. I also have a pinching sensation in my left buttock that I also experienced with my first pregnancy so I'm looking forward to that going away soon. I'm also starting to experience reflux which will lead to nasty heartburn later so I have to watch what I'm eating - tomato sauce in pizza was the culprit the other night. Oh, also can I say my boobs are just killing me. Seriously! I breastfed for 18 months and shouldn't they have been toughened up by now!?

I am an avid reader and used-to-be crafter. I'm in law school so do not have time to do anything but that! I actually sold my sewing machine a couple months ago but would like to get another one before LO arrives. I've made so many quilts for other peoples babies over the years that I would love to make one for mine.

I had my NT scan yesterday. LO was very stubborn about getting in position. We had a great tech that checked out whatever LO was willing to let us see at the moment. The nuchal measurement was well within normal range (yay!) but we are still waiting on the combined blood test results. Fingers crossed that those are normal also.

In a former life I was a hobby painter/sculptor...and I used to retrain off-track Thoroughbred racehorses for new careers in jumping or hunt seat riding. Now I'm just another working mom, trying to make it through the day without forgetting anything major... !!
Someday I'll get back in the saddle. I won't be sad if my kids get bitten by the horse bug too. Then maybe DH will finally cave and buy us a pony

and... my 2.5 year old guy broke his leg this weekend. It won't be our last trip to the ER with this one. I can only hope that this next one is not as active...
Vents...I have a very high strung doctor-friend who works with my husband., also due late Nov/early Dec...and she thinks I should have an amnio! Even though the MFM doc didn't! (And she's not an OB doc. Not even remotely close.)
I don't even know where to go with that. Doesn't change our friendship, but might keep me from hanging out with her until we've both delivered...I am the logical one in our friendship, and this is just more craziness than even I can deal with right now... Ugh.

While I do appreciate a good adventure, I'm not really the best at it. Unless you put me in front of a computer or other electronic source of gaming possibilities. (though THAT hobby has been minimal since about the time DD was born.)
I do love to draw and have been, in a scattered sort of way, creating my own comics online (and personal print), as well as doing little art things. (I've sold at conventions of the Animation/Game kind.)
Currently, I'm also in progress of painting a storage bench and wall hangings to decorate what will soon be DD's new "Big Girl" room.

6 month check up next Thursday, including glucose test. Still feeling a bit huge. And he's been kicking me all day. I'm planning on taking the rest of appointment day off for Mental Health purposes.

My hobbies: I'm an avid reader, I scrapbook and make cards, I'm trying my hand at crayon art (from Pinterest), I swim, run (taking a break now but I can't wait to start up again!), bicycle, ride off-road (quad-also taking a break from this), camp, travel by plane, sail, kayak, snorkel, and go ocean boating.

The last couple of weeks I've been pretty uncomfortable. I consider myself lucky though because the first 31 weeks of my pregnancy have been problem free. I am looking forward to my 34 week US next Tuesday and I go out on ML Aug. 31. I can't wait!

Hobbies:
Photography and making digital photo books (Shutterfly) of my trips and pictures! Travel is a huge passion - I have been to 49 states - need ND - and all 7 continents. When traveling, I like moderate hiking, snorkeling, seeing historic places.
Updates:
I am happy to finally be in week 8. My EDD was moved so week 7 actually lasted 11 days. I am past my loss milestone so am feeling more confident. My next appointment is 8/22 and NT scan is 9/4.
