I registered this weekend!

My best friend (who has 2 kids) went with me to register this weekend.  I am so happy she went with me.  She was able to explain as we went and it made everything much less stressful.I still have a number of items to research and decide on.

In another month of so DH and I will go back and register for clothing and have him look at what I registered for.   I know it seems a bit early, but my first of 2 showers is at 6.5 months.

  • I was really dreading registering.  I am big on researching things before I buy them and found the whole process a bit overwhelming.

I think it will be a lot more fun when DH and I go back together and look at the fun stuff.

Just some advice. ... I woukdbt recommend registering for a lot of clothing. People who don't buy off the registry tend to buy clothing anyway. You will get plenty, especially if you have a girl. Also, if you register for clothing this early, what's available in the stores will often be different by the time people shop. Some things that I did register for the first time were basics like plain white onsies and a Swaddle-Me (which I loved!). I let people pick out their own cute outfits, and I got quite a variety of sizes and styles.

I don't think it's too early to register...I started my BRU register at 12 weeks.

Yes All of this. Plus - I'd rather not register for something as basic as clothing, and have people buy things that I need like diapers, bottles, gear etc. You'll get plenty of clothing anyways.

  • Fun!  I am looking forward to registering, but I am trying to make myself wait until after we find out the sex (late Aug).

  • We are having a boy.  I am planning on putting the clothes on the registry about 2 weeks before the invites go out for my first shower.  I am planning on only putting on the basics.  People can pick out their own outfits.  Part of the reason I want to put on the basics (for things that can be reused) is that I don't want everything in blue
