Amniotic fluid ?

What does it mean when your fluid is on the low side? I had my NST then an u/s to measure fluid. She looked once and it was 10.5 then again and it was 11.2. Which she did say the range is 10-20. I've read about women having AF at 6-8 which I know is low. So my question is does it mean anything bad or that she doesn't have enough room?

10 is great. 5-25 is normal, and 10 is in the middle of that. You're totally good

Glad you asked! My ultrasound this week had me at 6, then a 9 when she remeasured. My dr instructed me to drink more water and I am getting checked again on Tuesday.

Are those numbers lower for twins because I usually am right at a 5 or lower and they always say it's good?

No, in fact usually those with twins have problems with too much fluid. Are you sure they said your AFI was 5 (or lower)? Not something else?

The Drs here told me normal is still 5 - 25.

Yup usually 4.75 to like 6. Haven't seen it more than that in a long time. Then again I've been getting really pissed off with my obs office the last couple of weeks since they act like nothing is wrong in there. After my MFM told them that baby a's placenta is really matured they still don't look at it. Looks like I'll be having a great talk with my MFM this week.

Yeah, your MFM definitely needs to get your OB's head out of his/her azz.  Your OB seems so dismissive of your issues.

Oh yea havent even told you yet she doesnt want me delivering at 34 weeks like my MFM wants me too. She wants .e to hold out until 37 if i can. You see why im so stressed out after all my appointments anymore.
