  • Idk maybe TLC is trying to get a trashier set of viewers. It just looks and sounds so horrible.

  • Yes, it makes me cringe every time I see it!!! Who on earth decided they needed a reality TV show? Something is seriously wrong with society if that show is a success!

I saw that the other day and it turned me off so much i have not turned TLC back one since. If I wanted to deal with obnoxious rednecks I would go to my local Walmart 10minutes down the road and watch for free...just saying Stick out tongue
  • That commercial came on a few days ago while DD was playing. She stopped what she was doing looked at me and said "Hu Boo boo"

I have not turned on TLC since.

  • That child makes my skin crawl and her mom makes me want to punch her in the face.  I hate feeling that way about a kid, but seriously....since when is it okay for a child to say "a dollar makes me holler"?

  • All I can imagine is some European people coming across the show and thinking, "Yep, that's exactly what I thought Americans would be like." For the life of me, I cannot figure out why they have to pick the tackiest, loudest, most embarrassing people to make TV shows. It makes me feel a little ill even seeing the commercial. DH seriously looked at me and said, "It's a good thing TLC has some other good shows, or I would never, never watch it again."

  • H doesn't watch TLC unless I'm watching it anyway, but ever since he saw the commercial for it he's boycotting TLC all together.  I didn't even bother to watch it.

H says we're moving toward a society like the movie Idiocracy....and with the most recent reality shows, we sure are.  It's just dumb, what is enjoyable about watching some nasty rednecks act stupid?

My DH says the same thing! I think they're right.

Every time I turn on TV, there's another d@mn reality show about rednecks. Hillbilly Handfishing, Duck Dynasty, American Hoggers, Cajun Justice, and so forth.

For the love of all things southern, we're not all like that. Some of us are actually well mannered, educated, and eloquent.
