Just Starting Out w/ gDiapers

So DH and I decided to make the switch from disposables to cloth for cost savings and better-for-baby reasons.  We both like to do our research before investing in anything, and we found that gDiapers got really good reviews, so we picked up a 6 pack of the Small covers and 18 cloth inserts as well as 6 extra liners. 

It took a lot of convincing to get DH to make the switch to cloth, but now I just read a post from earlier about people being disappointed with gDiapers.  I know every baby is different, and what works for some doesn't work for others, but I got a bit discouraged reading all the negative responses about gDs.  DH and I will be really upset if we realize we made a mistake. 

Today is Day 1 of using them and I've only changed DD once since this morning, so not much experience yet.

Has anyone had GOOD luck with gDiapers?? I also heard good reviews of Charlie Banana - any thoughts?

I love my gdiapers,they are the best for day time and for going out are great,for the inserts after multiples wash will become more adsorbent,also don't be upset about what others will said about gdiapers,I know must of the people from this web-side don't like gdiaper,good luck and don't give up, after you get it how to used them you will love them.

Sorry I forgot about charlie bananas they are good,but I prefer Gdiapers, also you can try grovia they are very good too,and for night time i will recommend a fitted diaper with a wool cover.

It's not a diaper for everyone.  I haven't personally used it, but I wanted to mention that the FAQ at the top of the board has a document with brand reviews if you decide to give something else a try.  That isn't to say you won't make it work.

We use gdiapers as well as a variety of other diapers, and after comparing them, I still love our gdiapers. My husband likes them the best! The only difficulty that we have is the difference between the small and medium sizes. The smalls are onlybarely still fitting but the mediums are still too big!
