Just checking in to see if anyone is still able to BF. Sadly I think we are reaching the end of our journey, although LO was all but attached to the boob today after a rough day of teething. When I am with him I am able to get by with only supplementing at bedtime with 6-8oz of formula but since I am unable to pump anything he will be getting less BM when I go back to school (I teach) next month.
We started coconut milk today and I plan to keep on nursing at bedtime and naptimes for as long as I can, or until he loses interest - whichever comes first. I'd love to hear if anyone else is in the same boat!
Re: Pregnant and BFing - anyone else out there?
Yup! My supply has crashed twice now. My son has been on WCM since he turned 1 so no need for supplementing here. I stopped pumping around 13 months and am almost through my freezer stash (like within the week, and he is only getting a tiny bit at bedtime with baby oatmeal to help with sttn).
He still nurses quite a lot, definitely more than 2x a day... more like 4 ish on avg? No real pattern to it other than always at bedtime.
I know I still have a little bit of milk left as there have been times he has had a little on his mouth etc but it seems very low. Don't need breast pads anymore etc. Im fine with him continuing as long as he needs at this point, and even if it is just comfort.
