Formula Feeding ?

It sounds like a silly question but what type of water should be mixed with formula? My sister always used tap water, but in my house we don't drink our tap water (I think it taste like lake water) we buy bottled water. Should we use filtered water, nursery water, distilled water, etc? DH said we should buy a brita pitcher to use for bottles.

Thoughts?

We bought the plastic jugs of water from the grocery store.  Not the nursery water, just regular purified water.

We have a brita pitcher in the fridge and it makes the water here taste so much better.  I would get one of those (and maybe not keep it in the fridge) or just buy gallons of nursery water.

Filtered tap water is fine.  Most tap water has flouride in it which babies need.  If you're using bottled water, you'd need to get a fouride drop from the pedi.

its so funny, I thought I was on my BMB, but when I went to TTGP to congratulate tairairat  then back to my BMB the thread wasn't there anymore! I thought someone DD'd! Haha, so i had to go back & see where I posted. Low & behold....my lurking got me caught. :P

If I didn't drink my tap water then I wouldn't give it to LO.  I'd probably try a brita pitcher or filter.

We use a Brita and when we are on the road we buy spring water.

we bought the 2.5 gallon containers of water (poland spring) and left it on the counter. that way it was always the same temp. 

we just grabbed individual bottles of water for outings.

We use RTF but when we used concentrated, we boiled water over the stove, let it cool overnight and then used that.
