I'm not an overly picky eater, but there are some things that I just really can't stand. On my list of foods I hate are sweet potatoes and squash. I gag when I so much as smell them, let alone taste them. That being said, I know a lot of other people like these foods and they are very healthy, so I'm trying to include these things in DS's diet. I know they are good for him, and I don't want him to be influenced by my personal likes and dislikes. My question is, are any of you feeding your LO's foods that you personally dislike?

Re: A question about food dislikes
yep... i don't like avocado and we have fed it to him. turns out he doesn't care for it either, but we do mix it in occasionally.
i also haven't cared for peaches or nectarines in the past but found that when i made them for him, my tastes have changed a bit.

DH and I aren't really picky eaters. The one thing I really don't like is any sort of fish/seafood (DH doesn't care for it either). LO isn't quite ready for that yet, but when the time comes, I plan to introduce him to it. In the summer, my FIL goes fishing a lot, and they usually have fresh salmon...we'll start with that.
We're still adding new fruits/veggies to LO's diet, but so far we haven't had any "misses". I can tell he really doesn't like peas, but he eats them (making faces at me the whole time). I think it may be the texture he doesn't like. I make my own baby food...peas are hard to smooth out!
