Re: ~*~December Snow Angels Check-In~*~
Hey all - My week has been CRAAAAZY. My niece and nephew were in town this last weekend so that was a blast. We had so much fun bike riding and playing in the sprinklers and everything... I felt like a kid again!
My GTKY is unfortunately Jersey Shore! Even though I'm super jealous of Snooki and her baby... the show is hilarious and I love it. This also counts as a guilty pleasure IMO!
Hey Ladies! Here's to another happy hump day.
I just left a message for my RE's nurse to call me back with more details on my test results. I at least want to know what my FSH level was.
Based on my chart, this is a crazy cycle for me. It could be my fault for not taking my temp at the same time, or for drinking too much-huh, me?? Assuming I O and AF arrives in about 15 days, we will begin TTC next cycle. So scary.
My favorite reality show is RHONJ. I love those crazy B's!! They make me feel almost sane.
Hi ladies! I'm so glad you had fun with your niece and nephew, weaslewam!
Yeah, I was pretty bummed at my BFN this cycle.
I guess I just had it in my head that cycle #2 of TTCAL would be the successful one, because I've heard of several people getting BFPs on that cycle. But, ya know, what I need to keep telling myself is that just because cycle #2 was a BFN doesn't mean that cycle #3 will be!
I've decided not to take the evening primrose oil this cycle. I haven't really noticed it helping a lot, and buckeyebaby's post on my thread about it kind of freaked me out! My plan for this cycle to help with CM is just to drink a TON of water. Seriously. I'll probably be peeing every hour with how much water I plan to drink!
I'm also planning on taking a temping break for a week or so, while I'm on AF. I'm thinking that if I don't focus so much on what CD it is, then the first few days will hopefully fly by.
GTKY: I love reality competition shows like Survivor, Big Brother, and Project Runway.
I am so impressed at how well you keep up with all of us, weaslewam, and I am so glad to see that we have a few graduates! Just one correction on my info: my EDD was 12/9. Thanks!
I'm currently on CD7, and I have been Oing on CD16 for the last two cycles. Starting OPKs tomorrow. Hubby and I are going on a weekend vaca next weekend (Aug 3rd weekend), and I O that Friday. So, it should be a fun vaca
My new OB seems super conservative about testing/intervention, so we are not doing any other testing other than the prolactin and thyroid at the moment. (Thanks for asking!!) She said that the "clock" resets for a healthy couple for another year after a miscarriage. And we are only 3 cycles past my miscarriage. I still think that we will go to an RE for more testing in December or January if I am not pregnant again by then, especially if my cycles don't remain regular.
GTKY: I don't know if you can consider it "reality tv" but I love House Hunters. However, if we are talking real reality tv, I am sad to say that I love the Bachlorette, but not sad to say that I also LOVE Project Runway.
I would be curious what my results were too! I look forward to an update
BTW, I would never discourage drinking for the sake of a clean chart hehe (but maybe I'm bad like that!). I'm excited for you guys to move over to TTC. We start in a few weeks too!!
What helps me with my water intake (and I drink A LOT!) is having a good water bottle. If you don't have one, I suggest the camelbak with the straw. I find myself just mindlessly drinking from it and before i know it I've finished like 8! NOT EXAGGERATING!
Good luck with the temp break. I swear I need it too!
Oh stop it, you! It's fun to get to know you all a little better. Not that I don't love and appreciate the support of everyone else on this board, it's definitely fun getting to know all of you and stalking your posts hehe!
Being conservative about testing is probably a good thing! It means they're not out for an easy buck! What made you want to check your thyroid because I'm actually going in to get mine checked on Friday.
Ohhh I'm intrigued, what are cake cookies? Yes, I'm gonna need some recipes because that sounds ahhhmazing! Do you have any pics of the cupcakes?
Ho.ly. Cow. Those sound amazing!
This is a good idea - I take breaks far too often, but it is nice to look at FF and be surprised that you are so far into your cycle!
Thanks! I'm not terribly optimistic, but I guess there is always a chance. I'm not testing until Saturday at the earliest (mainly because I didn't want to be an emotional wreck yesterday).
How is everything going with your new house?
GTKY: Oh geez, I love reality TV. I watched the season finale of Love in the Wild this morning. I also love the real housewives. Apparently I am a fan of the trashiest reality tv
Hoping for the worst but being prepared for the best is one of the best mindsets in TTC. That way you don't set yourself up for too much disappointment. I look forward to any updates this week though
The house is great, it's SUPER messy though... I hope we can organize everything sooner rather than later! Thanks for asking
I agree!!
I feel some mixed feelings on getting "back to normal" with my AF, but for the most part it is a big relief to finally arrive. I just hate the cramps and wish it wasn't here because I keep remembering how I wrote in my pregnancy calendar book thing on February 25th, "Last period for 9 months!!!!" And now I'm like, hmm, guess not.
GTKY: I would have to say Project Runway as a serious one, and as a guilty pleasure, Dance Moms! Haha, that show is ridiculous, but I love it.
Thanks for the check in!

AF is bittersweet after getting a BFP. (((HUGS)))
I am still learning about charting but typically a dip at this point in your cycle MAY be an ovulation temp dip. This sometimes happens but not all the time for women when they ovulate. Temp shifts can happen for a number of reasons although in my experience they tend to go up! Keep on temping and you'll learn to "see the forest through the trees" as they say in TCOYF.
I'm glad you're optimistic about going back to work, I would personally be dreading it hehe. Although you have a point that it's easier to dwell on the negative. I hope we still see you a bunch on here when you're back to school!
Hi!! Can I join you ladies?
I posted a formal introduction on the board a few weeks ago and sadly I also had a December snow angel with a Dec 17th due date;(
This was our first pregnancy and I had a missed miscarriage and d&c on May 19th at 9 weeks. My first AF came 32 days after my mc and I just finished up my second which came 30 days later which was my norm cycle lenghts pre-mc. Yay. Although along with this AF came two days of brown discharge which is new for me;(
Although we started ttc last cycle we didn't try very hard, meaning only dtd a few times during my fertile week as I don't think we were emotionally ready yet. But this cycle we are going to use opk sticks and dh has commited to dtd with me as much as we can;) Excited and praying this is the cycle we make our rainbow baby!;)
As for fave tv shows, I'm addicted to reality tv! It's hard to pick just one fave but it would probably have to be the Bachelor/Bachelorette followed by Matchmaker millionaire lol.
Hope you ladies have a great day and I'm so sorry for all your losses!

This is the beginning of a BEAUTIFUL friendship!
Happy Hump Day everyone! I am also extremely impressed with the way you keep up with all of us!
WAis4Ris: SQUEE are you just so excited for EUROPE? I'm jealous and must live vicariously through your travels... Please tell us where you are going!!
I am so beyond psyched for our trip. My Dh's Grandma is a really cool lady who has decided she cant take her money with her when she dies, so she's taking the WHOLE family on a trip. We're going to France for a week with the fam.... here's the best part... on a senior citizen tour. its going to rock though, because we're a)in europe for FREE b) staying in WAY nicer places than we could ever afford and c) enjoying food and wine in way nicer places than dh and I would ever go to! the following week my DH and I will be in Germany, just the two of us- We're making Munich the home base, and then we'll be traveling around there. Its our first alone trip since our honeymoon and I'm psyched!
also in AWESOME news... AF showed today (day 56!). I'm really really happy to see her, and that after going through the possibility of maybe taking progesterone, that my body manned up and did figure it out on its own. I'm a little sad, because its the first one post loss, however, it had to happen sooner or later, and I'm glad it happened now... because maybe we'll make a European baby! YAY. I'm just hoping that this is the real thing, and not a trick. Flow is light... but steady.
One more thing- sorry for the super long post- Charting while crossing time zones. any tips? We live in Seattle and we're going to France. I think we're like 9 hrs different.
all in all... a very happy day here. Hope all of you are doing well.
Hello Ladies!
Yes, I am feeling better today...the pain from the cyst lasted about 18 hours total and seemed to go away when my AF ended, I am very thankful because it hurt like a B!tch! I am kinda upset that I got my AF, DH and I were actively trying this month and I was shocked that this cycle was only 20 days, I'm thinking the cyst is probably the reason why and hopefully it won't get in the way this cycle!
Favorite Reality Show: I love them all, haha! My tops are the Kardashians, Bachelor Pad and Dance Moms...I saw many of you also love Dance Mom's and as you can tell from my avatar, I'm from Pittsburgh and I actually danced in Abby Lee's company when I was young...she hasn't changed much, that's for sure!!! I find it very interesting to see her and the studio I danced in...even the Red jackets they wear are pretty much the same...wild!
Hope everyone has a fabulous rest of your week!

Hi Ladies! I would also like to join the check-in. I posted my intro a while back but have not been on too much. We are currently in the 2WW. This is our first time TTC after a D&C in May. I am about to go crazy with the waiting. Here's hoping that we have a good month.
GTKY: My favorite is The Amazing Race-my DH and I have always wanted to apply but he is not a citizen (yet). Maybe we will be on there someday. I just love the traveling that they get to do.
