I never "force feed" her but I do cluster formula feed at night. I'll give her a couple ozs an hour and a half before bed, more the hour before bathtime, and then a bottle right before bed. She eats it right up--I think there's an instinct maybe that she knows she is not going to be eating for a while because she's going to be asleep for so long?
During the day, she goes 3-5 hour stretches between bottles.
DS eats 4 oz bottles about every 2-3 hours during the day. I wish he would eat more but I can't seem to get him to. If he goes longer than 3 hours (which doens't happen often) he will eat 5 or 6 oz. When he wakes up during the night or 1st am, he will eat a 6 oz bottle.
6oz a bottle usually, with one large one when she wakes up after her first long stretch at night. She usually eats around 5pm last at daycare, so she won't take a huge bottle at night before bed
She has 4oz about every 3 hours which averages out to about 24oz over 6 feedings. I've tried to give her more (she's tiny, only 10.5 pds at 3.5 mos) and she'll very occassionally take 5 or 6 oz. Like 1-2 times a week. But she's down to only waking once a night, so I'm hoping STTN is coming soon!
Re: how much is your 3 month old eating?
Ditto PP. (Although Claire is just shy of 3 months.)
Before she goes to bed, she usually has 8-10 oz because she sleeps an 8-9 hour stretch.
She eats four 6 oz bottles every day.
